Q: How do I get a CDL?
A: To get your CDL, you’ll need to complete a training program like ours, pass a written knowledge test for your permit, and then complete hands-on instruction and a driving exam.
Q: How long does it take to get a CDL?
A: Most students complete our program in 10 weeks, depending on their schedule and availability.
Q: What is a CDL A?
A: A CDL A (Class A Commercial Driver’s License) allows you to operate heavy trucks with trailers, such as tractor-trailers and big rigs. It opens the door to a wide variety of trucking jobs.
Q: How old do you have to be to get a CDL?
A: You must be at least 18 years old to get a CDL in California for intrastate driving and 21 to drive interstate (across state lines).

In California, the average pay for CDL drivers is solid and varies by region, experience, and the type of equipment they run.
Q: What does OTR mean?
A: OTR stands for “over-the-road,” referring to long haul routes that often span across state lines. OTR drivers usually earn more than local drivers.
Q: Are there local trucking jobs available?
